Complementary Therapies

"The cure of the part should not be attempted without treatment of the whole."

This is what we try to provide. As more people realise that alternative therapy has a positive contribution in meeting our healthcare requirements.
Saheliya offers a range of therapies to black and ethnic minority women who suffer from depression, stress or any related problems.

Aromatherapy
It is the use of essential oils and hydrosals to promote personal health. Essential oils are used by application in massage to produce a relaxed, stimulated or soothed state.

Massage
Massage usually involves applying touch with varying degrees of pressure. The massage therapist uses touch with sensitivity in order to determine the optimal amount of pressure to use for each person. Massage reduces muscle tension, stress and gives general relaxation.

Reflexology
This is the treatment method which deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all of the glands, organs and parts of the body. Reflexology is employed by using the thumb and fingers with specific pressures. It helps release of stress and tension and promotes relaxation.

Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese healing art by which diverse energy is channelled through the hands of the healer. Reiki reduces mental and physical stress.
